Birthdate: January 24th, 2001
"Kody" is a solid black male with a Czech workingline pedigree from top sport and foundation border patrol bloodlines. He has good civil agression and tremendous drive for the toy. Grips are superb, all in a swift and lean, though powerfully built medium size frame. At six years of age now, he's agile enough to bound a 4 foot fence with ease. He's a proven producer, demonstrating a tendency to throw a greater number of males than females.

Kodiak's sire, Gillo z Janciho dvora, SchH3 FH, was a son of Art z Lipin. Gillo was a participant in the 2001 National Police & Schutzhund Championship, where he scored in the 90's in all three phases among some tough competition like Mike Diehl's Stormfronts Brawnson and Dean Calderon's Rex von Kathargo, while Bernhard Flinks and Ivan Balabonov took the top podiums. This earned him a qualified spot to compete for the AWDF at the FCI World Championship in Germany that year. In the following year, he tied for eighth place in the 2002 German Shepherd Dog Championship with a score of 285.

Kodiak's dam, Besy od Volfu, was titled IPO3 SchH2 ZVV2, a daughter of Emil z Pohranicni straze and grandaughter of Kaso z Pohranicni straze was a super worker and outstanding producer. Her qualities were to include dark sable pigment, good bone, tremendous power, high drive and solid nerves. Besy was linebred 5,3-5 in V Bojar vom Schotterhof and 4-3 in Ema Z Pohranicni Straze Cs (the dam of Kaso zPS). Many of the greatest Czech line producers were descendants through the female progeny of Kaso, to include grandsons such as Chuligan, Tom, Grim, and Xero of the "z Pohranicní stráže" breeding program. |
